​​​​​​The Association was founded on July 2012 by Electrolux, Enel Distribuzione, Indesit Company and Telecom Italia. It is open to any interested party sharing its mission and vision and wishing to collaborate to achieve its goals.

There are two levels of membership: Ordinary Members and Aggregate Members.Ordinary Members have full rights votes and rights of electing, and being elected, three representatives of the Board of Directors. Aggregate Members can participate to all activities of the Association but have no rights votes.
